● QPRDv5 was approved by the Bluetooth SIG Board of Directors on 21 April

  • Effective as of 11 May 2026.
  • This update reflects clarifications, policy refinements, and additional flexibility requested by members, while preserving the core structure and intent of the Bluetooth Qualification Process.

Thunderbolt|Jun.

● Certification Subsidy for Devices –Terms

  • Start –January 1st , 2026
  • End –December 31st , 2026

Subsidization is only for product with Intel silicon supporting both Windows and Mac
Note: eGFXdevices can also be approved for subsidy

Intel will work with the authorized certification labs to help defray some portion of the costs associated with Thunderbolt accessory certification:

 

● Subsidy applies to one round of final certification​

For BarlowRidgeB2 based Thunderbolt 5 Devices only

Barlow Ridge Devices (Thunderbolt 5 only) that complete certification before EO 2026 –50% subsidy

Accessory vendor is responsible for payment of the remaining costs directly to the certification lab.

● Wi-Fi Test Plan Update

  • Wi‑Fi Easy Connect Test Plan v3.1
  • Wi-Fi QoS Management Test Plan v4.0
  • Wi-Fi 6 Test Plan v2.4

Wi-SUN|Jun.

● Wi-SUN Alliance announced that Allion TW is being awarded the status of Approved Test Laboratory (ATL) for certification testing services of Field Area Network (FAN) 1.1 Profile – FAN 1.0+, High Performance HP and Low Energy LE (Router, Border Router and Limited Function Nodes LFN) for 902-928MHz Band (NA) and 920-928MHz Band (JP).
